FTDI Releases C232HM MPSSE Cables for SPI, I2C and JTAG Communications

FTDI, available from Glyn High-Tech Distribution, is pleased to announce the availability of new cables to exploit the Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine (MPSSE) found in the new FT232H IC.  FT232H is a high speed single channel USB to UART/FIFO IC and using a serial EEPROM interface, this device can be configured for a wide variety of asynchronous and synchronous serial standards, such as JTAG, SPI, I2C and UART as well as synchronous and asynchronous parallel FIFO interfaces.

The USB-MPSSE cable is capable of providing a USB to SPI, I2C or JTAG interface. 

To further simplify application development, FTDI also provides free libraries to transparently handle the MPSSE configuration for several protocols.
